We’re doing a little housekeeping around BGM, so don’t panic! Hopefully you’ll like the changes…let us know!
PS: Good news, everyone! The Google embargo seems to be lifting…we’re being indexed and starting to see some results in searches. Thanks to whoever took pity and helped get BGM outta the Google doghouse!
We all have something that irritates us when someone dares to criticize our choice of technology.
Mine is not necessarily a criticism, but the way that people constantly abbreviate ‘Macintosh’ as MAC. MAC stands for ‘Media Access Control’, which is a number assigned to networkable hardware devices.
A ‘Mac’ is a badass computer.
What’s yours? If it isn’t listed, drop a comment!

I really, really, really wanted to like this product. It looks really cool, at least online.
The sad truth is, however, that the product is nothing more than poorly measured 3m tape that is difficult to apply and impossible to reposition if you make a tiny mistake during application.
I purchased a Macstyle for both my 17″ Macbook Pro and my 5g iPod. The skin for the Macbook was Mariner blue with a ‘fire’ design. The iPod skin was also Mariner blue.
During application of the first iPod skin (three were included, as I chose different colors for the wheel/buttons), the left corner of the top, thin area ripped as I gently peeled back the clear base coating. Off to a splendid start.
Thinking it was my clumsiness, I decided to wait until I got home to let me wife help me apply the rest of the skins. She has very steady hands and is far more coordinated than I could ever hope to be.
MacNN is discussing an Apple patent that would allow users of Leopards Dashboard to have multiple Dashboards available in a ‘cube’. For instance, you would open Dashboard, click one side of the cube for local info, another for headlines and yet another for email checking.
Even if it isn’t true, some developer somewhere needs to get on this idea…it’s brilliant!
Ok, the page is in some crazy moon language, but how cool are these screenshots?

At least according to John Gruber of Daring Fireball.
His response to Steve Ballmers latest rant is well constructed and makes even those of who think it is overpiced change their minds a little.
