…a new piece of OS X malware has been discovered. Intego has named this malware the OSX.RSPlug.A Trojan Horse. Note that this malware is not a virus—it can’t self-propagate from one machine to another. It is, however, definitely malicious, and it’s packaged in a well-designed trojan horse wrapper.

In a post by forum user echobucket, he demonstrated how to change the default 3d Dock from something kinda ugly to something kinda cool.
Click the mini-screenshot below to see the results of a new, darkly translucent Dock.

All you have to do is download this file, and unzip it.
In Finder, click ‘Go/Go to folder’ and enter ‘/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/’ in the text box.
Find the 4 files starting with ’scurve’. Highlight them, and choose ‘create archive’ from the context menu. This will back them up to your Desktop for safe keeping.
