Google is piloting a project wherein they are storing the medical records of approximately 15,000 volunteers. The records are stored in the users Google account for retrieval anywhere.
I really can’t think of any practical reasons for this other than perhaps tying it into a ’shareable’ network that would allow you to grant access to a physician (i.e. Google Calendar), who can then update it as necessary.
Or perhaps a labyrinth system that would allow your Doctor to update your records, your pharmacist to check in and fill your prescriptions, then you pay for them using your Google Checkout account – …
Check software update, boys and girls. Apple has posted a firmware update that will, ostensibly, resolve the LONGSTANDING issue of the first keystroke in a typing session being skipped.

This MacBook and MacBook Pro firmware update addresses an issue where the first key press may be ignored if the computer has been sitting idle. It also addresses some other issues.
The update package will install an updater application into the Applications/Utilities folder and will launch it automatically. Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the update process.
eCamm Networks – a longtime Mac software maker, has renamed their iPhoneDrive product to ‘MegaPhone’ (I think MegiPhone would have been cool play on words, but I’ve been known to drink a lot, so…) and added several features as well as making some tweaks.
Changes in the 1.5 version include:
Product is now called MegaPhone.
Adds ability to add, edit and delete notes.
Add ability to delete SMS and call log items.
Adds date column to photo and camera mode.
Date information is now preserved when exporting photos.
Numerous minor fixes and enhancements.

I know it’s weird to see this here, but for anyone who has to use Windows, the choice between XP and Vista is oh-so clear.
Infoworld has taken it upon itself to try to save Windows XP, which Microsoft plans to stop selling as of June 30th 2008. I (and over 100,000 other people evidently) feel that this decision is a bad move for number of reasons – most involving the fact that Vista is garbage.
Take a look at the petition and sign it if you are so inclined – the Windows you save may be your own.

AriX and Ben have announced the immediate availability of iJailBreak 0.5.1, the latest version of the open source Mac OS X jailbreaking utility. iJailBreak 0.5.1 allows iPhone (and soon iPod Touch) users the ability to jailbreak, and if so desired, unlock and “hactivate,” their device in mere minutes.
