Are you looking for a way to cash in on the financial success of our favorite fruit company, but without the high price tag of buying AAPL stock? Here are some other ideas to consider as Apple related investments without breaking the bank.
I’m not going to pimp any specific companies here, but if you have any suggestions please feel free to comment below or Twitter it to our stream.
Accessory makers – as we all know, the market for third party Apple accessories such as cases, skins, docks, cables, etc is far larger than that …

Apple has filed a patent for a technology which would enable a layer of solar cells to be inserted under a touch-sensitive screen of the sort used in the iPhone.
There is usually little room for solar panels on portable devices, once space taken up by the screen and keypad is taken into account – a fact which has plagued previous attempts to power MP3 players and mobile phones via the sun.
Apple’s patent would get round the problem by stacking the solar cells underneath both the touch-sensitive screen and the LCD, according to The New York Times. That …
Have you seen PhoneZap.com yet? It’s a new site that allows you to post images, video, ringtones and text (as a miniblog) to a specific URL from your mobile phone.
They also have a specific iPhone client (via Installer) that allows you to create all of those items – the ringtone feature is particularly handy.

Great site that sells original Apple branded stuff, such as posters, pens, mouse-pads, and hey: watches!
Got other examples of music videos prominently featuring Macs? Let us know in the comments.
This one is from Nine Inch Nails (warning: bad language that will make your morals slowly fade and possibly cause anal leakage) and has a Powerbook as well as some awesome effects using one of those metal pin things that you always flip a bird into at Spencers. Or is that just me?
As seen on TUAW, the website for the ‘Sex and the City’ movie is actually pretty damned clever, using a mockup of a Macbook Pro as a means of viewing the content and interacting with the production itself.
While the show itself makes my brain try to crawl out of my head, I have to admit this is a great website and an awesome promotional tool for Apple.

Titular reference, anyone?

Very cool video and demonstration of the desktop implementation of the multitouch features. Learn more on the Lux website.
A great new app was released today via Installer – NemusSync. It allows you to synchronize your iPhone with your Google Calendar – including any other calendars to which you have subscribed.
In particular, my wife is going to be thrilled, mainly because she doesn’t use a normal mail client at all, and most of the family uses Gcal so we keep track of who is doing what.
In conjunction with IntelliScreen, this makes for an awesome double-whammy productivity tool.

You can install NemusSync by adding http://www.nemustech.com/iPhone/repos/ to your Installer.app sources.
