Another reason I want to smash my iPhone

Greetings, friend! Looks like this is your first time here. As such, we encourage you to subscribe to our site via RSS feed or by email so you can get updates as they happen. Thanks for stopping by!

After finally getting my Christmas present installed (an Avic D3 head unit), I’ve discovered that the iphone doesn’t support sending Contact data via Bluetooth. Sure it connects and pairs and the call works like a champ, but I can’t see who’s calling or initiate a call from the touchscreen of the stereo itself.

This means that my fancy handsfree bluetooth mode can’t recognize my address book data. However, in a test with my daughters 3 year old Razr, it worked like a charm.

I hate it that every time I need to do something that a thousand other phones can do, mine can’t. It’s gotten to the point that the single-device sheen is wearing off.
