Goodbye, seldom used optical drive! [updated]

MCE is now offering an optical bay replacement module that lets you add up to a 500gb hard drive as a second form of media - meaning that you can have up to a terabyte of space in your Macbook or Powerbook G4.

Very, very cool stuff. I'll let you know how it goes.

UPDATE:
After receiving and installing the OptiBay, I've experienced several issues that their technical support has not been willing to address, unfortunately. For starters, the bay does not fit in the 15" unibody Macbook Pro properly. It slides around loosely, and by extension, makes the hard drive connector cable disconnect causing freeze-ups and possible data loss.

This is an issue that they can easily resolve using a couple of screws and a slightly larger base for the product, and it might very well be in the works, but they haven't bothered to respond to any of my messages to them about this issue.

Until further notice, I'd recommend NOT purchasing this product if you have a 15" unibody MBP.
