Not sure if the date on the post above is accurate. Yesterday? 7/29/09? Because Spotlight is on the iPhone (OS 3.0) now, you can search for songs rather easily. Either in the iPod app itself, or the Spotlight screen.

Must be an old comment. We've had Contact searching on the iPhone for awhile now.

You can sort of do "More from this Album" when shuffling. Click the "track listing" icon and the other tracks for the album will come up. Pick any other track and it will drop out of shuffle mode and play the tracks from the album. Then you can click the shuffle icon when you are tired of that album and want to pick up some more music.

I've wanted "More from this Artist" when shuffling music since iPod 1.0, though. Hopefully we'll see it added someday soon.

Even sillier: You *are* able to search via the keyboard in the iTunes Wireless Store. (Why they don't extend that same search capability to the Music app, for searching songs/artists/albums, I have no idea.) While we're wondering, why the ^&*$ is this not available in Contacts? It's practically required there.

What I'd really like to see, when playing music on shuffle are two buttons:
-More from this Artist
-More from this Album
That way, no search is even needed.

But, along with this, I'd like to see Search capabilities everywhere. It's running OS X, right? Then throw Spotlight on that sucker!

I never noticed that before. Why have a keyboard if you aren't going to use it?
