Ten Mac sites you should be reading!
We all have our favorites, don’t we? Here are some of our favorite sources for Mac news, rumors, commentary and discussion that you should add to your bookmarks! Feel free to post yours below.
- Daring Fireball - John Gruber writes some of the best Mac and tech related articles out there. His insight and wisdom are usually brilliant and concise. He has a wicked sense of humor too.
- David Pogue - Pogue is a well known author, ‘pundit’ and tech enthusiast. He’s written numerous books and his column in the New York Times is an excellent tech resource.
- MacZot is a great site that offers a different Mac app at a discount nearly every day. There are some occasional repeats, and the occasional drama-bombs, but overall MacZot is a tremendously effective way to get (or promote) Mac software.
- The Unsanity Blog - The guys who make Fruitmenu, Shapeshifter and many more awesome Mac apps also have a blog that offers one of the more revealing views into the Mac development scene. Interesting reading for those who wonder about what goes into creating and selling software for the Mac community.
- Parallels for Mac Forum - Running parallels on your Intel Mac? You may be missing out on some life-saving tips and tricks from the forum regulars over at Parallels. Everything from optimizing Windows to how to share a BootCamp partition with Parallels.
- The Apple Refurb Store
- Tons of great stuff at a huge discount, including iPods, Macbooks and more, and usually with a full one year warranty.
- Digg.com - Apple stories - Ok, Digg comments can usually be counted on to make you want to poke your eyes out, but the links and stories flowing through Digg are well worth the catcalls of the Mac haters.
- iLounge - Got an iPod? Use iTunes? Looking to get an iPhone? Then you need to check this site out. Amazingly in-depth articles and reviews of anything ‘i’ related. The forums are great also.
- Low End Mac - Got an old Mac? Looking for one? LEM is your site. With comprehensive details on every Apple computer ever manufactured, they can tell you what it shipped with, how far you can push it and where to get it. Invaluable for collectors!
- MacRumors - Sometimes right, sometimes wrong, always entertaining. If you want to know what might be coming out of Cupertino next, your first stop should be MacRumors. Daily disclosures make for great reading and discussion in their lively forums.
