Tether your 3g iPhone data connection via App Store
No, wait, nevermind.
For a little while Thursday night, the holy grail of iPhone users was found. A program from NullRiver (makers of Tuner and numerous other amazing stuff), had an app called 'NetShare' in the iTunes US Store.
"Share your iPhone's EDGE or 3G Internet connection with your computer using NetShare. NetShare provides a SOCKS5 proxy for your computer to connect to."
Priced at $9.99, the app would have been a good deal for anyone who hasn't jailbroken their iPhone already - aside from the fact that AT&T would likely have busted the proverbial cap of overcharging in ones financial ass.
But within an hour or so, the app was no longer available in the US store - one can only think this was because someone at Apple realized they were going to expose US users to a massive burden when AT&T realized someone was downloading music and movies using their 3g connection.
Of note is that the NetShare screenshot (below) indicates Rogers as the carrier, so presumably the app was intended for international users only.
