The first-gen iPod Nano – unsafe at any volume
Do you own a first gen Nano? If so, you might want to check out the Apple support page – especially if it seems to be running hot.
Evidently there is a know acknowledged glitch that can cause them to malfunction slightly, and by that I mean ‘catch on fire and explode’. Nothing major though.
Check out this article on Consumerist, then head over to the support page and see if your serial number jibes up with the first gen production date. if it does, consider giving Apple a call or stopping by to see your local Genius.
