Tired of the Leopard Dock already? Fine, change it!
In a post by forum user echobucket, he demonstrated how to change the default 3d Dock from something kinda ugly to something kinda cool.
Click the mini-screenshot below to see the results of a new, darkly translucent Dock.
- All you have to do is download this file, and unzip it.
- In Finder, click ‘Go/Go to folder’ and enter ‘/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/’ in the text box.
- Find the 4 files starting with ’scurve’. Highlight them, and choose ‘create archive’ from the context menu. This will back them up to your Desktop for safe keeping.
- Next, move the 4 new files you downloaded into the same folder.
- Finally, open Applications/Utilities/Terminal and enter the following text, then hit enter:
- KillAll Dock
The Dock will disappear and seconds later come back to life, and looking better than ever!
