Twinkle: Twitter with auto-locate for the iPhone

Oh Nate True, what awesomeness will you bring us next?

The original iPhone hacker go-to-guy, Nate has now released one of the most astounding and innovative iPhone apps yet. Twinkle lets users access their Twitter account and automatically add their current location, based on the iPhones ‘locate me’ feature.

It also allows you to take a picture and attach it to your post. Simply an amazing program and an exciting sneak peek at what iPhone developers are capable of…just wait until they release their ‘official’ apps!

Check out the screenshots below (and by the way, you can follow us at http://twitter.com/babygotmac) to get a closer look at Twinkle.

Needless to say, you can install it using Installer.app on jailbroken iPhones.

I loaded Twinkle but it caused my iphone to not be able to connect to the intrnet as well as get voice mails. Uninstalled and all is good.

It’s a *fantastic* app. Best example out there of a location enabled social app, or just about any mobile app for that matter.

So a really cool feature would be google earth plugin. if you could take the feed export it to a kml (super easy btw i mean super easy) then feed the as a network link in GE. you could see the twitters in GE form where they originated. That would be HOT!!!!!

Google map integration would be cool, but what about running in the background [like Fring] and being able to add photoos from your lib to the posting…

Kick arse job, Nate! Thanks a lot.
