Two application developers competing in the highly competitive and lucrative ‘fart space’ on the iTunes App Store are embroiled in what can only be described as a blow-out legal situation.
As documented here, the makers if iFart Mobile (InfoMedia) are taking Air-o-matic, Inc. to court for copyright infringement of the term ‘Pull my finger’.
Please folks, stop worrying about your 401ks and mortgages – and instead write your Senators and Congressmen about this most vital aspect of our current financial woes. America, nor the iPhone platform, can survive with a chasm such as this ripping us all apart.
My take on …
Well, I give up. After reading the article below, I feel absolutely eviscerated by my choice of computing platforms. Point by point, the author of the article simply tears apart the ‘myth of Mac’ – quite frankly I think there is no compelling reason for Apple to continue manufacturing computers at all. In fact, I demand that the board of directors immediately commit harakiri on the steps of Microsoft headquarters.
I bow before the highly detailed and incredibly well documented deconstruction of ‘Mac’ fallacies laid out by the author of the article. May he be blessed for showing us the way.

I’ve gone on a few times before about how screwed up the iTunes App Store review system is, but this example pretty much nails it.
The app in question is Tap Email, which let’s you click a persons picture to send them email. The comments and ‘reviews’ are inane and useless.
Worst app, or worst app ever?

“Do you want to send greetings to friends? Stylem Greetings is here to help you choose from over 15,000 original greetings.”
Shoot me now.
For the iPhone user who has everything.

The beauty is that someone who has one-click purchasing turned on is going to have a very bad day…Apple needs to get on the ball with their app reviews. Wonder if Apples refund department is better than their app vetting section?
I am, of course referring to virus scanners on the Mac and the unholy WTF called VirusBarrier X5 from Intego.

Seriously, it’s bad enough to scare Switchers into thinking their Macs are as susceptible to virus’ and malware as a Windows machine, but to then display this fluorescent blob of what I can only imagine is some sort of ejaculate from the Matrix…well, it just ain’t right, folks.
